Fundraising Manager
Responsibilities: As Fundraising Manager, I work with senior leadership to develop and implement the fundraising strategy, and lead the fundraising team to ensure effective delivery, stewardship and impact reporting. I have personal responsibility for individual philanthropy and corporate fundraising income.
Previous experience: I have over 20 years’ experience of fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships and events in the corporate and third sectors. I previously set up the individual giving for the charity, Youth Adventure Trust, and ran the 10 Peaks Challenge, corporate fundraising event. My most recent role was in Advancement at the University of Bath. I also run a freelance events business, which complements fundraising.
Likes Mentoring Plus because: Mentoring Plus has a great reputation, and it’s values and purpose resonate with me personally. And I love how the team are so joyful and committed to making a difference to young people’s lives.
Good at: Building meaningful relationships, seeing the big picture and story-telling.
Not so good at: Saying ‘no’!
