In-school mentoring

Easy access to support in school

We offer primary and secondary schools an embedded mentoring service to help them respond quickly and accessibly to students’ wellbeing needs.

Our skilled and supported professional mentor will typically be in school 1-2 days per week. Working closely with pastoral care staff, they offer a calm space and time for a student to talk openly about issues at home, in school or with peers.

This service takes inspiration from our other projects, and mentors will often encourage students to come for a walk with them, play games or make art during a session, depending on their interests, to make mentoring less intense and more enjoyable for the student.

Our mentors can work with up to 5 students during a full school day through this provision.
