The Mayor of Bath open Mentoring Plus Youth reps' pop up charity shop

Help our young people be heard

Youth Reps is our participation group of young people who have completed mentoring and want to stay involved in the charity. They’re aged 14-18, energetic and opinionated, and they’re motivated to shape our planning, organise events, do enterprise projects, canvas opinions, fundraise and campaign for other young people being helped by Mentoring Plus.

It’s some of the most important work we do to support them, and in turn they are amazing advocates for us.

We have two dedicated and skilled activities assistants and a great youth volunteer who help run this weekly group, currently on a Monday evening in termtime with occasional support for weekend and school holiday events.

What we need to add to the mix is an inspirational adult group leader who will champion their cause, drive forward their agenda, connect to great people and help deliver fun, memorable sessions for this purposeful group, always working together with them to co-design the best possible experiences.

Want to make a massive difference to young people in just 5 hours a week? Want to make sure they are heard – by Mentoring Plus, by other young people, by schools, by other influencers? Got the skills and confidence to hear what’s wanted, add value, challenge with kindness and enhance their creativity? You could be the one!

There’s a full job description and role profile here.

Applications will be processed according to Safer Recruitment guidelines (subject to full background checks) and can only be accepted via this application form – submission details on the form. Please don’t send us a CV!
