We won!

Together with our amazing partners Off The Record, The Bath 5k Map, Bathscape, and Walk Bath, we’re thrilled to share that we won ‘Best Collaboration’ at the Radio Bath Charity Awards!

We were already so proud to be part of Bath’s first ever Charity Awards and to be nominated alongside so many incredible local organisations. But as a small team that has been fundraising together for less than two years, winning this award means the world to us.

The event was hosted in collaboration with BaNES Third Sector Group, and thanks to the support of a range of local businesses, including Avonvale Carpets, who kindly gifted us tickets, hundreds of people came together to celebrate local charities. It was a magical afternoon, and we can't wait for the next one!

What do board games, den building or walks in the park have to do with changing young people’s lives?

The answer might be simpler than you think.

With the support of local youth charity Mentoring Plus, young people aged 7-25 who are facing tough challenges – such as poor mental health, school difficulties or family breakdown – spend one to two hours a week taking part in fun and interesting activities alongside a trained volunteer mentor. And every week, this time together makes a significant difference to their happiness, confidence, and outlook on the future.

For these young people, this playful and positive style of mentoring offers a gentler alternative to more formal interventions like therapy or counselling. By focusing on enjoyable shared experiences, pressure dissipates, creating a relaxed space where they can build trust, talk more openly, improve their immediate wellbeing and develop valuable life skills – all while just being themselves.

We’re thrilled to share that, together with Off The Record, we’re finalists in The Bath Life Awards! Our joint nomination centres around our collaboration with The Bath 5k Map, and we’re over the moon that our work together over the last year is being recognised and celebrated in this way.
