Congratulations to our CEO Ruth Keily

Our CEO, Ruth, was nominated as one of Bath's Most Inspiring Women

Last month, our CEO, Ruth Keily, was nominated as one of Bath's Most Inspiring Women.

The event, now in its fifth year, is organised by The Business Exchange South West, and aims "to recognise women in our community who are doing good things, driving change, leading by example and supporting those in need." Ruth's dedication to our charity and the young people we support inspires us every day, and we were so thrilled that she was recognised in this way.

To celebrate her nomination, and all of Bath's Most Inspiring Women, TBE held a special event at Victoria Art Gallery on 12 March. After delicious drinks and canapés, Ruth joined Voices for Life CEO, Tessa Armstrong and adventurer, Maddie Difazio-Wright, as a guest speaker. Ruth spoke movingly about the lasting impact mentors have on young people's lives and futures. It was particularly wonderful to know that a few of our previous and existing mentors were in the room to hear the difference they have made. Watch her short speech here.

As part of TBE's celebration of Bath's Most Inspiring Women, nominees were also invited onto the TBE Talks Podcast. In this ten minute episode, Ruth shares why mentoring matters, why challenging with compassion is important, and her hopes for young women as they create their own paths.

Thank you again to Anita Jaynes and The Business Exchange South West team for championing women in our community, and for giving Ruth an opportunity to shine a light on our charity and the work we do with young people.
