Rapid Intervention Team
Mentoring Plus have launched the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) pilot which is commissioned by BANES and part funded by schools.
The project is supporting young people and their families for a ten week intervention, it is aimed at young people who show early signs of Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and have other life challenges.
Primary and Secondary schools can refer to RIT through the Health SPA (Single Point of Access) Panel. This pilot has been launched as a preventative service, BANES, our local authority have seen a large increase in mental health challenges and Hospital Reintegration Service (HERS) referrals. RIT support is offered as an early intervention to keep a young person engaged in education.
This service is for Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 (inclusive).
For more information and questions please contact our RIT Team Anna and Charlotte.
We look forward to updating you on the progress of this exciting new pilot project.
