Liv Foster
SAFS Mentoring Practitioner

Responsibilities: I work with children and young people in schools to support them to make positive progress in their school attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing. I liaise with their families and schools to ensure everyone is working as a good support network together.
Previous experience: I previously volunteered at a local Girlguiding group for several years, supporting and planning different fun activities. I then studied Psychology at university. After university, I worked in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported children with a wide range of needs and regularly delivered a range of interventions. I also supported multiple children with SEND on a 1:1 basis, getting to know their likes, dislikes, and the best ways to support them to engage and learn.
Likes Mentoring Plus because: Everyone at Mentoring Plus is welcoming and friendly. We all truly want what’s best for young people and their families.
Good at: Listening, being patient and playing board games.
Not so good at: Waking up early and looking after plants!
Support our work
Each young person we support has a different story to tell - each one as powerful as the next.
