Harriet Foley

SAFS Mentoring Practitioner

Responsibilities: I work with young people to improve their wellbeing and behaviour. I support them to make progress in their attendance and engagement within school, and liaise families and school staff to aid this process.

Previous experience: I have previously worked as part of the pastoral team at a secondary school after completing my psychology degree. This involved leading both group and 1:1 interventions around general wellbeing and school pressures. I also ran the exit room and acted as on-call support reintegrating students back into a classroom setting. Alongside this role, I volunteered with multiple charities, undertaking a variety of responsibilities.

Likes Mentoring Plus because: Everyone is really friendly and committed to helping improve young people and families lives.

Good at: Listening, staying motivated, and reading books.

Not so good at: Not falling over, singing, and anything to do with snakes.

Support our work

Each young person we support has a different story to tell - each one as powerful as the next.
