Make the miles you undertake for the Great Community Virtual Challenge count even more over the next week!
The London Marathon was due to happen this weekend – a fantastic fundraising event that raised £66.4 million for charities in 2019. The loss of this event means many charities, including ours will lose out financially. Responding to this loss, organisers of some of the biggest events in the UK have got together to set up the 2.6 Campaign to help save UK’s charities like Mentoring Plus.
The idea is for members of the public to undertake any activity, within current government guidelines, based on the numbers 2.6 and 26 for one week, starting Sunday 26th April – the original date of the London Marathon 2020. So why not make the miles for the Great Community Challenge count towards this?
- Turbo cycle 26 miles, run 2.6 km, walk 2.6 miles or gather the distance covered walking around the house or even ride a smoothie-making machine!
- Then, if you can, please make a donation to our dedicated area of the national 2.6 campaign here.
Any donation you make during the week starting on Sunday 26 April means Mentoring Plus receives more money from donations made to the central ‘pot’ according to how much we raise. So your support has an even greater impact!
The demand for our services is increasing rapidly, whilst our ability to fundraise has been drastically reduced by this pandemic.
