Our youth reps are raising funds for a residential this summer

You can support them by donating — or coming to a fund-raising event!

Our fantastic group of Mentoring Plus youth reps need your help to enable 10 young people to go on a residential break with PGL in Dorset this August. The youth reps would like the younger mentees to benefit from the trip — developing life skills, building teamwork, providing a safe space to be nurtured and helping them to express their feelings and emotions. Two of the youth reps will go along as peer mentors, supporting other young people and sharing the experience.

Please donate what you can here 🙏

Or, you can support us at the following events:

Sat 4th May, Nationwide Building Society, Bath | Youth reps stall

Visit our stall for a treasure trail, name the teddy, guess the number of sweets in the jar or throw a coin (or two) in the donation bucket!

Saturday 25th May, Waitrose Bath | Bag packing

If you’re shopping in Waitrose, Bath,  our friendly, helpful young people will be available to help you pack your shopping.

Sunday 7th July, Keynsham Music Festival |  Lucky Dip

Come and find us at the Keynsham Music Festival and try our lucky dip.

The youth reps explain the benefits of this residential

We are the Youth Reps participation group of Mentoring Plus. We need your help to enable us to go on a residential break with PGL in Dorset this August. This will help us develop life skills, build teamwork, provide a safe space to be nurtured and help us to express our feelings and emotions. The residential will challenge our comfort zones and have us live as a team. 12 young people will go the residential, trying out new activities like kayaking, abseiling and den building, with help from 4 charity staff and the PGL instructors.

We asked for this residential for younger mentees and offered to help fundraise for it. We know how important it is for young people to have positive things to do in school holidays so they are not isolated at home or getting into trouble. If a residential like this helps us cope and grow our mindsets, we can achieve higher goals in life and benefit our families, schools and neighbourhoods too.

Our fundraising was kicked off by us being Racemakers at the Bath Half Marathon, handing out goodie bags to the runners. This brought us £300 closer to our target!

Thank you for your help. Your donation is really appreciated and will help us achieve our goals and your money will go a long way.
