Youth Reps – 14th and 20th Oct

On the 14th we made our way to Bristol Grammar School to deliver the speech we’d worked hard at the week before. Both Duncan & Brad stole the show with superbly presented pieces, which were well received by the audience. Jamie didn’t do too bad either!

The speeches reflected so eloquently why mentoring is such an important service to our young people and the real difference it can make. Well done guys!

Then there was the small matter of the “Jamie’s Farm Celebration Event”.

This was a wonderful occasion for all the young people who attended our summer residential to come together again and celebrate the positives, from what was an amazing time.

We could sense a buzz in the air the second they arrived. The evening was spent playing football, log chopping, lambing and most importantly having a feast of spag bol at the table!

We culminated the night in a certificate handout, which was reflective and at times quite emotive. Seeing and hearing the changes made since the young people left, provided us with hard evidence of the positivity that’s generated from a Mentoring Plus residential. Bring on 2016!
