We’re recruiting a new part-time Volunteer Co-ordinator – deadline Mon 23 April 2018. Application downloads and details below!
We’re an effective and ambitious local charity which delivers mentoring and activities for vulnerable 7 to 21 year olds across Bath and North East Somerset.
Our vision is a community in which all young people thrive. Our mission is to inspire our community to raise the aspirations of our young and most vulnerable. Our model offers young people a mix of one to one mentoring from local volunteers with a wide range of positive activities.
Volunteer mentors are one of our most valuable assets, and we have a continued demand. We currently train about 45 volunteers per year.
For the past twenty years our young people have been telling us they are happier and more confident from spending time with the project. We are proud to have delivered a commissioned service for the local council over the past two decades, alongside primary and secondary schools buying in our programmes.
With your help, we will continue to inspire local young lives.
An experienced administrator with excellent people skills is required to process enquiries and applications from potential volunteer mentors, including all paperwork and checks required for Safer Recruitment. You’ll join a small and friendly team based in Bath.
Responsible for administering potential volunteers through the application process, training and interviews, candidates will need to be proficient in Word and Excel. You need a friendly phone manner and to enjoy meeting people. In-house training will be provided for our database, CharityLog.
Our two-day mentor training is held three times a year. These are held on Saturdays and the Volunteer Co-ordinator will be required to attend some of these sessions.
Hours: 10 hours per week (2 days preferred)
Salary: £5,200 pro rata (£19,500 full time equivalent)
