Vacancies: three new practitioner roles

Demand for our services has never been higher. To help us build capacity, we have the following new Mentoring Practitioner vacancies:

  • Schools services, 30h/wk
  • Volunteer mentoring, 16h/wk
  • Participation / youth work, 12h/wk

There may be scope to combine two of these roles. If you are interested in doing so, please complete a separate application for each role, and indicate on your application whether or not you would like to combine them, or are only interested in a combined role.

Would you like to join an award-winning and ambitious community charity that’s making a difference for children and young people? Mentoring Plus has been delivering mentoring and activities for 7-21 year olds across Bath and North East Somerset facing significant challenges since 1998.

Our vision is a community in which all young people thrive. Our mission is to inspire our community to raise the aspirations of our young and most vulnerable. Our model offers children and young people a mix of one to one mentoring (from volunteers and professionals) and a wide range of positive group activities. With your help, we’ll continue to inspire more local young lives.

Young people tell us they are happier and more confident from spending time with our projects. We’re proud to have delivered highly respected commissioned services for the local authority over the past two decades, alongside primary and secondary schools buying in our programmes. Our Volunteer Mentoring programme matches young people needing support with school, family or wellbeing with trained adult volunteer mentors. Our Student & Family Support (SAFS) commission works directly with young people and families to access education following a period of low attendance, exclusion or absence.

Due to unprecedented demand and internal promotions, we’ve created three new roles to add to the capacity of our friendly and professional teams, ensuring we are delivering the highest quality, child-centred support we can. All roles are based in Bath and cover the whole of Bath & NE Somerset.
