We have a 6-month initial contract available for an experienced communications professional looking for flexible hours and rewarding work as part of our friendly Bath-based team.
Why do we need this role?
We have a constant need to attract adult volunteers to train as mentors, and are committed to giving young people a voice in campaigning for issues they feel passionate about. Our new commissioned service supports young people, families and schools with reintegration into education, and needs awareness-building. We also seek to grow our paid services activities which help fund our charitable work.
This award-winning charity has an excellent professional reputation and has developed local awareness of its work via digital channels, community events, awards and the media. There is still significant scope to engage key audiences more consistently and creatively, supporting the fundraising and volunteer teams and other colleagues to meet these operational needs and build wider recognition.
So we’re seeking a professional with appropriate skills and experience to plan, create and measure campaigns, content and regular communications, and to support key awareness-raising and fundraising events.
What does it involve?
This is a delivery-focused role working in collaboration with a small, friendly and committed team to offer relevant, actionable content to our audiences. You’ll be applying creative and technical abilities to maintaining key channels, producing relevant promotional content and materials and supporting community engagement.
This fixed-term role (potentially extendable subject to performance and funding) will reward creativity, technical knowhow, planning skills, teamwork and highly effective written communications with immediate responsibility and a working environment fully committed to flexibility and personal support.

Contract: 6 months
Hours: 18 per week, flexible
Rate: £13.50 / hour PAYE or £16.75 / hour freelance
